NY 270 originally began in downtown Buffalo, following NY 5, US 62, and NY 263 out of the city. In Getzville, NY 270 split from NY 263 and followed its current alignment. At the north end, NY 270 plexed with NY 93 briefly before ending at US 104 in Warrens Corners. In 2006, the north end of NY 270 was scaled back 1 1/2 miles to NY 31. The truncated section now carries NY 93, which was realigned west of Lockport. |
