The NY 399 designation was later intended to be used for the Hudson River Expressway in Westchester County after its original designation, I-487, was removed. The expressway was never built and the project was cancelled in the early 1970s.
Replaced By:

Fulton CR 101 and town maintenance. A 0.69 mile section of Sweet Rd. was dismantled around 1970.
