Present day NY 135 was built during the 1960s and completed in 1969. NY 135 was intended to serve as part of an eastern extension of I-287. The I-287 plan was cancelled in 1973. However, there are still occasional discussions about extending NY 135 north to NY 25A near Oyster Bay. |
