NY 9F originally only extended north to Hyde Park following its alignment to East Park then west to Hyde Park via what is now Dutchess CR 41. The designation was realigned and extended north to Weys Corners near Rhinecliff in 1932 and remained until 1938 when it was replaced by an extended NY 9G.
