History:


NY 57's alignment didn't change throughout its existance. The route was decommissioned as the result of the construction of I-481 and NY 481 through Syracuse's northern suburbs. Some vestiges of NY 57 still remain, including a recently installed NY 57 guide sign near the Thruway.
